Obituary of Stella Biczel

Biczel, Stella - Passed away peacefully on Thursday August 15th 2013 at Garden City Manor with her family by her side. Best friend and devoted wife of 54 years to the late Piotr (2007). Loving mother of John (Joanne) of St. Catharines, Peter (Julie) of St. Catharines and Stephen (Sandy) of Niagara Falls. Proud and cherished Grandma of Julie (Ryan), Jennifer, Ashleigh (Greg), Jared (Brandi), Hilary (Steve) and special Gma to Hailie , Vanessa, and Jocelyn. Stella will be greatly missed by her sisters Nellie (Walter) Matwijow of Thorold, Cathy (Don) Mullan of Niagara Falls, Muriel Gibow of Dundas, brother-in-law Doug Butler of Welland and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Vicki, Nina and her brother Marc. The family would like to especially thank all the staff and our Angels of Care at Garden City Manor for caring for and loving our Mom while she was there. " Are you Ok?" Mrs. Biczel is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street until Monday at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Denis Church on Monday at 10 am. Rite of committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 7 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial remembrances may be made to either the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Society.
