Obituary of Joseph Bulanda
Joseph Anthony Bulanda: in his 80th year passed away at St Catharines General Hospital on Sunday, September 4, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 22 years Carmelita Margaret Bulanda and 1 step son. Also survived by 3 sons and 1 daughter, the mother of his children Fay Bulanda, 8 grand daughters, 1 step granddaughter, 1 step grandson, 2 great granddaughters, 3 step great granddaughter, 1 step great grandson, 3 brothers, 5 sisters, 22 nieces,12 nephews and many, many great and great great nieces and nephews. Pre deceased by his parents Stanley and Sabina Piatkowski/Bulanda, 4 brothers, 2 sisters,1 step son and 1 nephew. He was in the RCAF in the 50's, could read and speak 3 different languages but could understand 5, his final career was teaching and retired as Technical Director at Madawaska Secondary School Barry's Bay Ont. Always was an educator in and out of the classroom. Also had a great love of music, could play 13 different instruments and was in many bands including a Dixieland Band. He was many things to many people and will be greatly missed. "No one is ever gone as long as there is someone left to remember. When no one is left to remember, we are all together again."
Mr. Bulanda is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7 - 9p.m. The funeral service will take place Wednesday Sept 7, 2011 at 1p.m. at the funeral home, with cremation to follow. Expressions of Sympathy made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
