Obituary of Guido Antonio Castellan

CASTELLAN, GUIDO Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Guido passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the Niagara Health System - St. Catharines Site, at the age of 85. A dedicated and beloved husband of Ileana for 60 years. Cherished Dad of Steve (Cheryl) and Robert (Amy). Proud Nonno of Katie, Beckie, Andrea, Robin and Nicholas and Bisnonno of Kayden, Kielyn and Emerson. Guido will be missed by his brother Ivo Castellan and also by his extended family. Dad will be remembered for his love of family, honesty, generosity and for making everyone feel "at home". A special thank you to everyone who cared for Dad, especially Dr. Wendy D'Andrea, and to all the doctors and nurses at the St. Catharines General Hospital and C.C.A.C. In accordance with Guido's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. A private family inurnment will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Lung Association.
