Obituary of William James Hill

HILL, William "Bill" After a lengthy illness, Bill passed away at home on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the age of 88. Bill is survived by his loving wife Helen (nee McAleese), his son Robert "Bob" Hill of St. Catharines and Linda Mahovlich of Glen Falls, New York. Grandfather to Patrick (Michelle) Bowman and great grandfather of Jacob and Zachery. Brother of Doreen Johnson of Kentucky. Bill is predeceased by his parents James Barbara and by his son Patrick. Bill will be fondly remembered by the McAleese family. Bill was a veteran of WWII. He served on Juno Beach and through France, Belgium and Holland. Bill's family would like to thank those people who made it possible for him to stay in his home, Debbie for her patience and love, Mike our wonderful neighbour, Mitch his PSW and the staff of ParaMed and Tina from CCAC. In accordance with Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private inurnment will be held at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or to the Humane Society.
