Obituary of Olga Mazurek

MAZUREK, Olga After suffering a massive stroke, Olga passed away on Tuesday, October 8th at the Toronto Western Hospital at the age of 84. Predeceased by her husband Edward Peter (1992), son Joey (1969) and sister Sophie. Loving mother of Peter Edward (Krystyna), Sophianne Mazurek-Hainer (Paul) and Chester Paul (Anna Maria), and much loved Baba of Krystian, Victoria, Adrian, Samantha, Ashley and Allison. Dear sister of Jerry (the late Jean) Halamay. Olga was a Registered Nurse (Mack School of Nursing, Class of '54) and worked alongside her husband for over 20 years at the "Edward Mazurek State Farm Insurance Agency". Olga's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL , 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, October 11th from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, October 12th at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria, 67 Church Street, St. Catharines at 10am. Cremation will follow the service with a private family inurnment at a later date. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Friday at 8pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
