Obituary of James Albert Colli
Colli, James Albert - Born January 16, 1951 in St. Catharines, Ontario passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in Niagara Falls on October 21, 2013. Son of the late Albert and Nina (nee Ceci), both of St. Catharines. Also predeceased by his grandparents, many uncles and aunts and in particular Uncle Jim and Aunt Flo, who helped raise Jim in his younger years. Survived by his sister Linda (Tom) Bowie of Nepean, Ontario and his brother Bishop Fred J. Colli of Thunder Bay, Ontario and his niece Carrie-Lynn Bowie of Nepean, Ontario. Also survived by his Aunt Diane Thompson, whom we thank in a special way for all her care and attention to Jim's medical and other needs over these past years. Jim was a teacher and chaplain for many years with the Niagara District Catholic School Board and most recently was the Pastoral Assistant at St. Julia's Parish in St. Catharines. He always enjoyed his work with the students at the schools and his work at St. Julia's Church. He will be missed by many relatives and his friends whose lives were touched by him. At Jim's request, cremation has taken place. Vigil Prayers will be said at St. Julia's Church on Wednesday October 23, 2013 at 7pm. with visitation until 9pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday October 24, 2013 at 7:30pm at St. Julia's Church, 251 Glenridge Avenue. Private family interment will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to Lupus Foundation or Heart and Stroke in Jim's honour.
