Obituary of Giuseppina Maria Covatta

Covatta, Giuseppina - Passed away peacefully on November 2, 2013 at Linhaven Home at the age of 101. Predeceased by her loving husband Vincenzo of almost 67 years, cherished mother to Frank and son-in-law Michele Carluccio and dear parents Angelo and Nunzia Gabriele. Devoted and loved mother of Maria and daughter-in-law Angela of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Dear grandmother and "NONNA" of six grandchildren, Vincent (Simone), Joseph (Retha) and Katherine (Brian) Lostracco and Pina (Daniel) Konieczny, Anna (Felice) Valvano and Pat Carluccio. Dearly beloved "BIS NONNA" of Christaan, Mikella, Isabella, Capri, Max, Annaliesa, Adelayde and Francesca. Beloved sister to Carmela of Italy. Survived by her many nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her sisters Maria-Nicola, Teresina, Giovina and brothers Igino, Marcello and Giovanni. She touched the lives of many and will never be forgotten. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the Linhaven Home staff who provided meaningful comfort and loving care to our mother for the past 7 years. The family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Tuesday between 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 3:00pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Star of the Sea Church, 34 Elgin Street on Wednesday at 11am. Interment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Donations to the the Alzhiemers Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
