Obituary of Mariya Mak

MAK, Maria- Passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, November 25th, 2013 at the St Catharines Hospital at the age of 83.Beloved wife to her late husband Mykola Mak. Predeceased by her second husband John Zuk . Cherished mother of Angelina (Bohdan) Pidzamecky and the late Peter Mak. Loving Baba of Yuri ( Carrie), Andriy (Natasha) and Paul (Jenny). Maria will be sadly missed by her many cousins and friends in Ukraine. She is predeceased by her brother Stefan. Maria was born in Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in 1993 to join her family. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Panachyda will take place on Wednesday at 7p.m. in the funeral home. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Church on Thursday at 10a.m. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to Sts. Cyril & Methodius Building Fund or to the Ukrainian Newspaper - Homin Ukrainy would be appreciated by the family.
