Obituary of Isabella Anderson Chater

CHATER, Isabella Anderson (nee Bertie) "Ella" Peacefully and with her family by her side at Linhaven Home on Thursday, November 28th at the age of 97. Predeceased by her husband of 63 years Gordon Henry Chater, sisters Charlotte Clark and Annie Bertie, and brother David Smith Bertie. Loving mother of Dawn (Dave) Madsen, John (Marilyn) Chater and Jayne (Mike) Barrett. Cherished Nana of Loren (David Lesway) Madsen, Lynnette (Erik Svedberg) Madsen, Steven Barrett, Kevin (Tiffany) Barrett, Kristen Chater and Brett Chater. Much loved Great Nana of Ryan, Dysan, Mitchell and Liam. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. The family extends sincere thanks to the Linhaven staff for their exceptional care, as well as Linda and Barbara for their many visits and support. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Isabel's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Saturday, December 14th from 10-11:45am with a service to celebrate her life following in the funeral home chapel at 12pm. There will be a private family inurnment in Streetsville Cemetery in the spring. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
