I have very fond memories of playing trains with Uncle Dan at their home in St. Catherine's as a child. He was very special to my Nanna, Loretta Richardson/Kendrick and now she has gone to join him.
Our deepest condolences.

Dear Nancy and Family,
I could not have imagined better neighbors than Ev and Dan as I was growing up. Your Mom was my first adult friend, allowing me the privilege to sit for hours at your desk and play. Even when I was very small, your Dad was a special friend. He loved to have young people around. I remember him sitting at my Mom's kitchen table when Hilary's friends came from college. Hilary's friend Mary, who had a lovely voice, would sing "Oh, Danny Boy" and inevitably bring a tear to your Dad's eye and a smile to your Mom. There just aren't neighborhoods like Bonavem Drive anymore (maybe that is a good thing). Please know that your Dad is in my thoughts and prayers. God's blessings to your family.

My condolences Nancy. Your Dad was great guy and a kind man.
He and my Dad will be snapping a Red Cap Ale in Heaven this Christmas.
May heaven be wonderful and the ale cold for them both.
Great neighbours are hard to come by these days and on Bonavem we were abundantly blessed with many. Life would not have been the same growing up without knowing the McNeils and the many other great characters on the street.
My very warmest regards to you and your family at this time.
Sincerely,
Ken

how do we express to you .. how important your parents were to us .. Our Mother would say it was such a comfort to know the McNeil's lived across street. I remember when our parents could finally afford to buy an actual hard top trailer; your Mom and Dad would come over and they would all sit together in the camper parked in the driveway playing cards.
Your mom would make fudge every year at Halloween only for certain people .. she made us feel very special .. Your Dad was a real helpful neighbour . He saw us raking leaves one year and taught us a better way to pick them up and place them in the bag taking the stress off the lower back. Thx alot Mr. McNeil.
They raised a fine daughter in you Nancy... pls know we thought the world of your Mom & Dad and the house across the street will forever be known as the McNeils ..
with much love from Bernice and Ken's all ten
