Obituary of Shirley May
May, Shirley "Jean" (nee Wilson)
Quietly passed away at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital on Monday, December 30, 2013, in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband Ken (1998). Survived by her daughter Kate (Rob) Shepherd, son Ken (Barb), her grandchildren Zak, Beth and Kenny. Jean was the last surviving child of 10 siblings. Jean was born and raised in Huntsville and worked in the Munitions Plant during WWII and was later a switchboard operator for Bell and Eatons. Well travelled and an avid reader, Jean treasured her time alone and fun time with family and friends. A special thank you to the compassionate nurses at Shaver Hospital. In accordance with Jean's wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements are entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL. Memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
