Obituary of Renato "Ray" Palleschi

PALLESCHI, Ray (Renato) July 25, 1934-July 28, 2007 Peacefully on July 28, 2007 with his family by his side. Ray reunited with his loving wife Claire (1996) in Heaven. Sadly missed by his children Marty Palleschi, Sue ( Shawn) McCafferty, Tracy Palleschi and family pet Purrfect. Loving brother of the late Lena (Nunzio) Pannicca, Gino (late Margaret) Palleschi, late Theresa (Rudy) Corbi and Rocco (Jane) Palleschi. Predeceased by his parents Arduino and Anna Palleschi, and his mother in law Ida Fanelli. He will be sadly missed by family friend Mike Sadusek and his 2 grandchildren, many cousins, nephews, nieces and the many cherished friends he made throughout his life. Ray owned and operated C&R Haulage and proudly helped build the Welland Canal, Thorold Tunnel, Skyway Bridge and many roads throughout the Niagara Region. He was the proud President of St. Catharines Husky Truck Stop for over 20 years. Dad always loved to tell us the construction stories of the road or area we were driving through and how he completed the job with the help of many good friends. Dad, we are very proud of you and your many accomplishments in life. Thank you for being there for us and teaching us all that we know. We love you. You will be missed but never forgotten. Ray's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday, July 31st and Wednesday, August 1st from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street on Thursday, August 2nd at 11am. Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil Prayers for Ray will be recited at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8pm. If desired, memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family
