Obituary of Peter Albert "Pete" Stoutenburg
STOUTENBURG, Peter Albert (Pete) unexpectedly on Sat. Aug. 31, 2002 in Collingwood. Pete Stoutenburg, 54 years of age, loving husband of Marsha, number one fan and caring father of Marlo, Curtis and Vicky, all of St. Catharines, Pete was predeceased by his father Henry Albert and his mother Cora Marion Partridge (Stoutenburg nee. Coffin), loved brother of Lynn and Paul Craig of Hamilton, dear son-in-law of Rita Printy, dear brother-in-law of Diane and David Olsen, Sally and Hal Rettstadt, Jamie and Barbara Printy all of the U. S. A. Pete will be lovingly remembered by nieces and nephews Stacey Johnson and Jennifer Craig, Jenna and Kyle Rettstadt, Gunnar and Garrick Olsen, also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins in P.E.I., Collingwood and Toronto.
Pete graduated from the University of New Hampshire after playing hockey with the Montreal Junior Canadiens, he worked for Bell Canada for 7 years then joined the former Mutual Life (now Clarica) where he established a successful insurance and financial planning corporation, was very active with several community volunteer and sports organizations.
Pete is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St. until Thurs. at 11:00am. A celebration of Pete's life will be held at St. Columba Anglican Church at 11:30 a.m. Committal Ceremony at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours Wed. 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial remembrances to Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or Multiple Sclerosis or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
A special thank you goes out to all of the Lighthouse Point Rec. Centre staff, Dr. Gulsham Lochi, Dr. Ferguson, the staff at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, as well as our "guardian angel" Lois Musselman.
