Obituary of James Stephen "Pockets" Addison
ADDISON, James Stephen "Pockets" - Born May 19th, 1938 - Died Aug 22nd, 2005. Jim has gone peacefully to meet the Lord. Jim had a marvelous sense of humour and loved his family, his sports and helping others. Loving husband of Sandra (nee Duemo). Father of Mark, Bernard and Mary. Survived by his sister Rosemary and his brothers Frank and Jack. Predeceased by his brothers Norman, William, and Donald. Uncle to 23 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two: Norman and Michael. Member of: St. Alfred's Ushers, St. Alfred's St. Vincent de Paul, Eucharistic Minister, Knights of Columbus #1394 and Msgr. Morris Assembly 4th Degree #0864 was in the Air Force and was a Letter Carrier.Mr. Addison is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., until Thursday at 10:30 am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 11:00 am with Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 7-9 pm. Vigil prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home on Wednesday evening followed by Knights of Columbus service. In lieu of flowers, Memorial remembrances to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or St. Vincent De Paul would be appreciated.
