Obituary of Oleska "Alec" Wojcickij

WOJCICKIJ, Oleksa "Alec" - Peacefully on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS at the age of 88, Alec joined his beloved Tatiana (1999). Dear father of Ludmila(Millie) and Tom Townsley of St. Catharines, Helena Bird of Port Colborne, Mareka (Mary) Luciani of St. Catharines, and Taras (Terry) and Cheryl Wojcickij of Michigan; dear Dido of Mark, Tanya, Eric, Lisa and Bill, Scott, Jeff; Dani, Alexander and Natalie; dear Great - Dido of Nikita, Natasha, Malarie, Jacob and Isaac. He will also be missed by his extended family and many friends. Dad retired from General Motors, enjoyed working in his garden and loved playing his harmonica. He was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church. Alec's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Saturday, April 14th from 7-9pm and Sunday, April 15th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church on Monday, April 16th at 10am. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Panachyda will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 7pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
