Obituary of Michael Duk
DUK, Michael
Peacefully passed away in his home, on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at the age of 95. By his side was his loving family and faithful companion, Ida, his dog. Michael has been reunited with his beloved wife Anna and his infant son Zeno. Loving father of Anne (Paul) Sorley, Henry (Doris) Duke and Teresa (Harold) Nelson. Proud Jaja of Travis (Rachel) and Kelsey-Ann Sorley, Suzanne (Kevin) Tattersall and Christopher (Karen) Duke, Amber (Paul) Alves and Priscilla (Frank) Sands, and Great- Jaja of Kari and Jennifer Tattersall, Brittany, Jocelyn and Brooklyn Duke, James, Jackson, Russell and Trevor. Michael retired from General Motors. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, and a member the Polish Legion. A special thank you to Michael's neighbours for all of their help and support over the years, and to the PSW caregivers, nurses and Dr. Malaguti for their medical care and relief. In accordance with Michael's wishes, there will be no visitation or Mass. Friends are invited to join Michael's family for prayers and a graveside service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery on Friday, January, 31, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. (meet on Queenston Street). Funeral arrangements are entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be given to the Kidney Foundation.
