Obituary of Ted Peter Smolak

SMOLAK, Ted - Passed away with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, February 19th, 2014 at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Stasia for 56 years. Cherished father of Paula (Rick) Serrao, Laura (Neil) MacDonald and Cathy (Dennis) Graham. Loving Grandpa to Erin, Ryan, Jacob, Shauna, Jonah, Evan, Chad and Abbey. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Ted was employed at General Motors for 36 years until his retirement in 1988. A sincere thank you to all of the staff in the ICU at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital for all their care and compassion. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St Catharines on Friday from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday at 11:30a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
