Obituary of David Cairns Jowett

JOWETT, David It is with deep sadness that the family of David Cairns Jowett announce his passing in his 75th year on February 20th, 2014 at the Niagara Health System-St. Catharines site. David died peacefully after suffering from a stroke. David will be be missed by his beloved wife Margaret, his loving daughters Lorna (Wayne) Colli and Christine Jowett (Steve Rynard) and his most precious granddaughter, Lorna Rynard. He will be especially missed by his New Jersey family, and his relatives in Canada and in Scotland. David was employed at TRW for 30 years; retiring in 1994. We thank the staff at the Niagara Health System - Greater Niagara General site, the St. Catharines site and the Shaver Hospital for their compassion, care and professionalism. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. David's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Tuesday, February 25th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 26th at 11:30am. There will be a private inurnment at a later date. If desired, memorial donations would be appreciated by the family to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Kidney Foundation, Canadian Breast Cancer Research Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
