Obituary of Gilbert Perry

PERRY, Gilbert With his family by his side, Gilbert passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 88. Beloved husband of 50 years to Lorna. Loving Dad to Michael (Robyn) Perry, Kathy (Roger) Sabourin and Julie (Kris) Lynn of Bermuda. Special Poppy to Alicia (Nathan) Hoffmann, Joshua, Daniel and Jamie Sabourin, Owen, Gavin and Raya Perry, Jakob Lynn and great-grandfather to Charlotte Hoffmann. Dear brother of Manuel, Edward, Donald Perry, Betty Taber and brother-in-law of Jean Weisser, Lynne (Marty) Brown, Alex (Dora) Cross, Walter (Linnea) Cross. Gilbert is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Madeline and Manuel Perry, his mother-in-law Janet Cross, his brothers Freddie, Ernest, his sisters Esther, Dorothy, Helen and his sister-in-law Marion (Bob) Thornton. A special thanks to all the staff in the Dialysis Unit at the St. Catharines General Hospital and to Dr. Kandewahl, Dr. Chiew and Dr. Van Rensberg for their care. A private family interment will be held prior to the service. A celebration of Gilbert's life will take place on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Brockview Bible Chapel, 326 Pelham Rd. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be given to Gideons International in Canada.
