Obituary of Caroline Agatha LeBlanc (nee Barrie)

LeBlanc, Caroline Agatha (nee Barrie) - It is with very heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing on March 5th after a 2 year courageous battle with cancer at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 62. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends right to the end. Loving wife of 44 years to Aulden from Alderpoint. Cherished and best mom ever to Alan (Laura) and Sherry. Special Nanny to Camyrn, Kayla and Josh and devoted Great Nanna to Esme. She also leaves behind 3 brothers, 8 sisters and many other extended family members and friends. Predeceased by her parents George and Hannah and brother Howie. Special thanks to Dr. Levesque and all of the Oncology team, and nurse Debbie Krueger for all their compassionate care. Caroline was born in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia which always held a very special place in heart. She enjoyed playing Bingo, travelling with Aulden, listening to country music and especially being with her family. Caroline was a compassionate care giver that always displayed how big her heart was. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Friday between 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 9:30am with burial to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
