Obituary of Jacqueline Ann Hnatiuk

HNATIUK, Jacqueline "Jackie" Surrounded by her family, Jackie peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, at the age of 83. Jackie was predeceased by her husband Walter (2005) and by her son Greg (2007). Beloved mother of Karen Starrs and Peter Hnatiuk. Loving Nana of Matthew, Todd and Shannon. Jackie is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jackie was a dedicated member of St. Alfred's Church. She was involved with the CWL and the Funeral Committee. A special thanks to Holly for all her love and support. Jackie's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited at 3 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow Mass. A reception will take place in the church hall, immediately following the service. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be given to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Spinal Cord Injury Ontario. In memory of Jackie, family and friends are encouraged to wear green (her favourite colour) to the funeral.
