Obituary of Katherina Enns

ENNS, Katharina "Katie" (nee Sawatzky) February 1, 1927 - April 29, 2014 It is with great sadness that the family of Katie announces her peaceful passing on to Heaven, to be with her Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ, on April 29, 2014. Katie is mourned by her loving husband of 61 years, Gerhard "George", her children Gudrun (David) Duerksen, George (Leona), Arthur (Julie), Alice (Albert) Welke, Frieda (Devon) Chin, Fred (Dawn), Ken (Rebecca), her grandchildren Russell (Jana-Rai) Dufault, Douglas (Cara) Duerksen, Gregory (Simone) Duerksen, Steven Enns, Robyn (Dave) Poirier, Lea Enns, Drew Welke, Jordan Enns, Sidney Enns, Curtis Enns, Mitchell Enns, Jamaal Chin, Samantha Enns, Madeleine Enns, Jessica Enns, Benjamin Enns, and her great-grandchildren Jovana, Liam, Oliver, Elliott and Stellan. She was predeceased by her grandchild Justin Chin. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. Katie's family will receive visitors at Fairview Mennonite Brethren Church, 455 Geneva Street, St.Catharines, on Thursday, May 8th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A service celebrating the life and home-going of Katie will be held on Friday May 9, 2014 at 11:00 am at the church with a luncheon following the service. Burial will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery following the luncheon. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
