Obituary of Clare Walter Grant Yendt
Yendt, Clare Walter Grant: Peacefully surrounded by his family, in his 85th year, at the St Catharines General Hospital, on Sunday July 24th, 2011. Beloved husband of the Late Isabelle Yendt (2008). Loving father of Barbara Taylor (Ken), Donna Barry (Ed), Richard (Janice) and Mark (Lisa). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Tim (Lisa) Taylor, Scott (Kelly) Taylor, Kim (Les) Lidstone, Tracy (Juan) Depaz, Lori (Tony) Cirocco, Sheri (Chris) Briscall, Derek (Denise) Yendt, Chris Yendt, Jennifer (Ryan Falkner) Ambeau, Steven (Bailey) Yendt and Justin Yendt, and 23 great grandchildren. Clare is survived by his brother Dr. Edmund R. (Bing) Yendt of Kingston, and sister Loretta (Don) Erling of Picton, and many nieces and nephews. Clare was past president of the Grantham Lions Club, and also served as District Deputy Grand Master of the Odd Fellows Lodge.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held in the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Tuesday August 2nd, 2011 at 11 a.m. Memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lion's Eye Care would be appreciated by the family.
