To the van Ruyven Family, the great multitude of you.
I had the pleasure of knowing Polly through the office I had worked at in St. Catharines. Polly was such a happy, genuine, loving. godly woman and she reminded me so much of my own grandmother because of her looks, height, stature, great white hair and also she shared the same birthday and my gramma's nickname was Polly. She always ended her visits to the office with a great big hug, a kiss on the cheek and an "I love you!". I have a special place in my heart for her. Polly always talked of her family with great love and such pride. You are blessed to carry her DNA and her legacy and to continue the ripple effect that she started here on earth. I hope you all take comfort in knowing she is in Heaven. The world has certainly lost a very special lady. God Bless you all.

Dear van Ruyven family,
Your Mom was my Godmother and I was blessed to have been her Godchild. She called me every year on my birthday and we connected several times throughout the year. She always ended her conversations on the phone with "I love you". She will be missed by everyone whose life she touched. We extend our condolences to all of you. May you be comforted by the fact that she is now with your Dad and happy and smiling down on all of you from heaven.

"Oma" was very special to both Keith and I. We came to know Oma through Andy and Bev. She was such an amazing kind-hearted person. I will never forget the rummy cup lesson she taught me and how we laughed about the Price is Right. She was truly a very, very special woman.
Our deepest sympathy to the family.

If we could all leave this life shining as brightly as did Mrs. Van Ruyven this is her greatest accomplishment. She has shown the way to many with her smile, happy disposition and positive pragmatic look on life. May you not grieve too much. Love from Paul and Anne Coleman

It is with such sadness that I hear of Tante Ploon's passing.
I have so many childhood memories of our family get togethers that I will cherish!
I remember that when I called her to tell her that my mom passed away, she told me it was "All Souls Day"-Nov 2nd-and that Mom would be dancing in heaven with my Dad-that made me feel so at peace!
Tante Ploon--with your kind, open heart, rejoice in heaven with God, the angels and your family and friends that have gone before you.
My prayers are with you and your family. God Bless!
