Obituary of Nancy Anne Ciesla (Funk)

Ciesla, Nancy Anne ( Funk) Peacefully after a brave and courageous battle on May 17, 2014 at the NHS - St. Catharines site. Loving wife of Arnie. Beloved mother of Alex, and Morgan, and Step-mother of Brittany, and Brandon. Dear step - grandmother of Cooper, and Vaeda. Predeceased by her parents Hank and Jessie Ciesla, and Father-in-law Arnold Funk Sr. Lovingly remembered by her mother-in-law Marta Funk, as well as the Funk, Campbell, Ciesla families, and her many caring and supportive friends. Nancy was a dedicated nurse at Sick Kids Hospital and Niagara Public Health for many years, and a devoted soccer, dance, figure skating, and rowing mom. Special thanks to all NHS Oncology staff, as well as the staff on 3B Oncology. Friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. Vigil prayers will be held on Thursday at 3pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Denis Roman Catholic Church, 230 Lake Street, on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11am. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the NHS - Oncology Unit, Breast Cancer Society or Wellspring Niagara in Nancy's memory would be appreciated.
