Obituary of John David Fast

FAST, John On Thursday, June 5th at the St. Catharines General Hospital, John passed away peacefully in his 84th year. Predeceased by his wife Rose (2011). Loving Father to David (Valerie), Brian (the late Lorrie), and cherished Grandpa to David (Victoria), Kristina and Michelle. He will be greatly missed by his many close friends and family. The family extends sincere thanks to the nursing staff of 2A. John was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 9222 and a 4th Degree member of Monsignor Morris Assembly # 0864. John's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Monday, June 9th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria, 3 Lyman Street on Tuesday, June 10th at 10:30am. Cremation will follow the service with a private family inurnment at a later date. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Monday at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society would be appreciated by the family.
