Obituary of Antonietta Di Pietro

DI PIETRO, Antonietta It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Antonietta on Sunday, June 29th, 2014 at the age of 29. Beloved daughter of Pietro & Rosa. Much loved sister of Francesco. Cherished granddaughter of Rebecca and the late Pasquale Di Leo, and the late Francesco and the late Andonia Di Pietro. Loving niece of Rocco (Pasqualina) Di Pietro, the late Generoso (Rocchina) Di Pietro, Angela (Luigi) Forgione, Antonio (Marisa) Di Leo, and Natalia Di Leo. Antonietta will also be lovingly remembered by her cousins Antoniette (Marc) Torelli and their children Vincent, Alexa, Anthony, Emilie; Francesco (Franca) Di Pietro and their children Luca and Daria; Francesco (Lina) Di Pietro and their children Giada and Matteo; Tina Forgione her son Alessio; Gerardo Forgione, Andrea & Christian Di Leo and Chiara Di Leo. Antonietta will also be dearly missed by many relatives, neighbours and friends. Antonietta was an active volunteer with March of Dimes, Ina Grafton, Independent Living, Community Support Services of Niagara and the Heart & Stroke Foundation. She enjoyed spending her time bowling, swimming, shopping with her friends and her monthly Dinner Club. Antonietta was a member of St. Alfred's Church. She will be lovingly remembered for her outgoing personality, her bright smile, and her positive outlook on life. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Homecare and March of Dimes. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, July 2nd from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, July 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Thursday at 3 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street, St. Catharines on Friday, July 4th at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the GBS Foundation.
