Obituary of Frances Jean Baas

BAAS, Frances Jean (nee Bracken) A beautiful, faithful life has ended its journey here with us, and has begun a new life, home in Heaven. God must have great plans for her to call His Angel back. Frances passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Hospice Niagara, at the age of 64. Beloved wife of Chris for 44 years. Loving mother of Charlene (Chris) Little, Christiaan (Jenn), Valerie (Craig Stratychuk) and cherished Oma of Christiaan J, Rylee and Christene. Frances will always be treasured by her brothers and sisters, Toni, Fred (Nadine), Lucy (Tom), Vern, Joanne (Bob), Kerry, Frank (Susan), Lori, and their families. Predeceased by her parents, Bill and Mary Bracken, and by her sister Elizabeth. A woman who blessed everyone around her, Frances will be dearly remembered by her family and many friends. A special thank you to the outstanding staff at Hospice Niagara for their support and compassionate care. In accordance with Frances' wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Following Mass, an inurnment will be held at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery, Niagara-on-the-Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations given to Hospice Niagara would be greatly appreciated by Frances' family.
