Obituary of Gaetano DeVuono

DeVuono, Gaetano - Passed away peacefully on October 9, 2014 at 92 years of age. Beloved husband of Ida of 66 years. Loving father of Rocco (friend, Jill) and Rose (Mario) Battistella of Hamilton. Loving Nonno to Lisa and Gregory. Gaetano will also be remembered by his sister, Gina (the late Alberto) Filice of Hamilton. Gaetano was predeceased by his brothers and sister and their spouses. Left to mourn his passing are his sisters-in-law, Peppina, Maria (the late Giuseppe), Maria (and the late Vincenzo); many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Italy. Gaetano was a very quiet, gentle individual who enjoyed the simple things in life. Friends and Family will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL 585 Carlton St. on Monday, October 13th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Monday at 7:15 pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street on Tuesday, October 14 at 11:00 am. Entombment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
