Obituary of Constance Ann Whiteside

WHITESIDE, Constance "Connie" Peacefully on Saturday, October 25th at the St. Catharines General Hospital in her 81st year. Loving aunt of Gail Whiteside and Connie (Howard) Groves, sister in law of Irene Whiteside, great aunt of Clayton (Jessica) Sanders and great great aunt of Savannah. Dear friend of Carol (Mahmoud) Dada, Lillian Birmingham and loving Godmother of Jody (Kevin) Keen. She will be missed by her many friends and cat Casey. Predeceased by her parents Alice and Stan, and brother Harry (1997). Connie graduated from St. Joseph's High School and from St. Michael's School of Nursing. She was a Unit Manager of the Recovery Room at the Hotel Dieu Hospital for many years. She belonged to the C.W.L. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Connie's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Wednesday, October 29th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Wednesday at 3pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 169 St. Paul Crescent on Thursday, October 30th at 10am. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will follow the service with a family inurnment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the Hotel Dieu-Shaver would be appreciated by the family.
