Obituary of Georgette Riel

RIEL, GEORGETTE (nee Drouin) Passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2014, after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's at Linhaven Home for the Aged, in her 83rd year. Georgette has been reunited with her husband Rene and with her son Normand (Rashida). Beloved mother of Lise (the late Bill), Denis (Annette) and Richard (Ginette). Loving grandma of Andre, Celine, Alena and Renee. Dear sister of Lydia, Jeanne-D'Arc, Simone, Gisele, Jacqueline. Predeceased by her siblings Aime, Lilianne, Emile, Joseph and Jacques. Georgette will be remembered for giving her time to Community Care, enjoying her favourite pastime, bowling, for being an excellent cook and especially for being a dedicated and loving mother. A very special thank you to the staff at Linhaven Home for taking great care of Mom during her stay. In accordance with Georgette's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer Society.
