Obituary of Vincenzo Saponara

SAPONARA, Vincenzo - On December 5th, 2014. Died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 88. He went into the arms of his Lord and Savior. Predeceased by his parents, Gaetano & Camilla (of Italy). Cherished and beloved brother of the late Maria Milano (2011) and Brother in-law, Michele Milano of St. Catharines. Vincenzo will be missed beyond words by his nephew, Joseph (Luz) Milano and his niece Angela (John) Miele. Uncle to Frank (Sarah) Miele, Quinn and Jack Miele, Steven (Joy) Miele, Isabella Milano and Jose Medina. Vincenzo was a gentle soul, kind and loving. He would do anything to help any one in need. A special thank you to Dr. M.P. Ravindran and staff at Meadows of Dorchester in Niagara Falls. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Sunday, December 7 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Sunday at 2:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street on Monday, December 8th at 10 am. The Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
