Obituary of Pasquale Di Pietro

DI PIETRO, Pasquale Passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side in his 94th year on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Niagara Health System- St. Catharines Site. Beloved husband to the late Pasqualina Di Pietro of 61 years. Loving father to Giuseppina, Sandra (the late Gerry), Angela (Joe), Peter (Gina) and his daughter in heaven Cristina. Predeceased by his brothers, Pietro, Alfonso, Angelo and his sister Angela. Loving brother-in-law to Alessandra Montemarano and Antonia Di Pietro. Beloved Nonno to Benny, Lina (George), Angela (Gaetano), Luisella (Robert), Jennifer (Randy), Patrizia (Anthony), Sandrina (Jason) and Frank. Great-grandfather to Hailey, Alyssa, Lucas, Adam, Jack, Nevaeh, Grace, Lachlan, Nicco, Layla & Hudson. Great great-grandfather to Vinny. He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. He will also be dearly missed by Maria Di Pietro and Michelina Portanova who thought of him as more than an uncle. Special thanks to doctors, nurses and staff of the Niagara Health System for their compassion and support during this difficult time. Pasquale's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Saturday, January 24th from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, January 25th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to Hospice Niagara or the Diabetes Association. "We have been blessed to have you in our lives and you will be in our hearts forever.
