Obituary of Gertrude Plut

PLUT, Gertrude(nee Reuter)- Passed away on Saturday, January 31st, 2015 at the St.Catharines Hospital in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Vladimir (1995). Cherished mother of Ladi, Ed (Dianna), William (Phyllis), and Lori. Gertrude is predeceased by her son John. Loving Oma of Alan, Daryl (Jaime), Eddie, Jimmy, Robbie, Ron, Lindsay (Andrew),Caitlyn and Jessica. Great Oma of Paige, River, Lily and Easton. Gertude was born in Feldkirchen, Austria on March 10th, 1925. She came to Canada in 1953 and shortly there after purchased a small fruit farm with her husband Vladimir in Niagara on the Lake. She was on the farm for approximately 25 years. After moving to St. Catharines, Mom still spent many long hours on the farm. Gertrude was an avid gardener, who loved cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, February 4th from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. A Celebration of Gertrude's Life will take place on Thursday, February 5th at 11a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
