Obituary of Alexander (Alex) Momentoff

MOMENTOFF, Alexander (Alex) - Passed away with his loving family by his side on Monday, February 9th, 2015 at the St. Catharines Hospital in his 90th year. Beloved husband and hearts’ companion to Regina(Rege)nee Leszczynski, for over 68 years. Cherished father of Mark (Ann) and Alexis (Bob). Loving grandpa of Matthew. He is predeceased by his sister Olga and his brothers Mike and Peter. Alex will be sadly missed by his in-laws and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all the nurses and staff in the Critical Care and Medicine Palliative Care Units at the St. Catharines Hospital. A special thank you to Care Partners staff Lisa, Marianne, Allie and Tita as well as Elaine Caldwell from CCAC, for all their exceptional in-home care and compassion towards Alex. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St.Catharines on Friday, February 13th from 10:30a.m. - 11:30a.m. A Celebration of Alex's Life will follow at 11:30a.m. on Friday in the funeral home chapel. Memorial donations to Niagara Children's Center or St. Catharines Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
