Obituary of Doreen Laubach

LAUBACH, Doreen (nee Melenko)- Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 17th, 2015 at Henley House at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Victor. Cherished mother of Vicky (Brian) Blakely, Steve (Nancy),Chris (Staci) Laubach and her daughter in law Tracey. Loving grandmother of Laura, Kristin, Shaun, Hailey and Sammi. Special sister of Katharyn (Lil) Malek. Sister in law of Jean DiMaurizio. Doreen is predeceased by her brother and sister as well as her sister in law and her two brothers in law.She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. A sincere thank you to all the staff at Henley House and the St. Catharines Hospital-Dialysis Unit for all their care and compassion.The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place on Thursday at 3p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St.Thomas Aquinas Church, 316 Queenston Street on Friday at 11a.m. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to St. Catharines Hospital-Dialysis Unit would be appreciated by the family.
