Obituary of Catherine "Kay" MacDonald

MACDONALD, Catherine "Kay" Peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Extendicare nursing home. Kay has been reunited with her beloved husband, Bill and with her sons Darren and Blair. She will be greatly missed by her loving children Troy, Liana and also by her grandsons Darren and Duncan. Dear sister of Terry Carmichael, Bernadette McCormick, Jim Chisholm and Brian Chisholm. She was predeceased by her brother Bernard. Kay will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and by her beloved cat, Cracker. A special thank you to the staff of Extendicare for their excellent care and support over the years and to the staff of George Darte Funeral Chapel, especially Krystal for her compassionate guidance. Kay's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Monday, February 23, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. - 10:20 a.m. A Funeral Mass will take place after the visitation, at Star of the Sea Church, 34 Elgin St., Port Dalhousie at 11:00 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations given to Canadian Food for Children would be appreciated by Kay's family.
