Obituary of John "Ian" Ronald Lindsay
Lindsay, John "Ian" - Resident of St. Catharines died on February 21, 2015 as the result of an accidental fall at home in his 68th year. John was born on December 1, 1947 in Paisley, Scotland and came to Canada at the age of five. John leaves behind the loves of his life, his wife and best friend of 43 years, Nancy (nee Smart), his beloved daughters Katie (Darcy) Klassen, Kimberly (Mike) Ercolani and the apple of his eye, his beautiful granddaughter, Anabella Klassen. John is survived by his mother Marjorie of St. Catharines, brother Steve (Karen) and family. Also survived by his mother-in-law Catherine Smart and sisters-in-law, Beth, Caroline, Pam, Cathy and Barb together with their families.
Friends and family are invited to the visitation at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, Ontario, L2M 4Y1 on Friday February 27, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to Autism Ontario (Niagara Chapter) 36 Page Street, St. Catharines, Ontario, L2R 4A4.
