Obituary of Kenneth McDonald
MCDONALD, Kenneth
Passed away peacefully on March 11th at Royal Henley Retirement Residence at the age of 86.
Predeceased by his beloved wife of 57 years Gwen. Loving father to Miles (Susan Hauth), Gregor (Rena), Daryl (Michele), Donald (Susan) and Kenneth (Brenda). Proud "Poppy" to Erica (Adam), Elizabeth (Reginald), Sarah Phalen, Kristin, Daniele (Frank), Shawna, Catharine, Christianne (Eric), Kenneth, Cassidy and Jonathon. Cherished Great Grandfather of Jackson. Ken was a retired postal worker better known to his friends as "Bucko" at the Grantham Plaza postal outlet back in the '90's and Uncle Buck to his many nephews and nieces.
The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the entire staff at Royal Henley Retirement Residence for their care and compassion in taking care of Ken over the last three years.
The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Sunday, March 15th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine St. on Monday, March 16th at 11am. Cremation to follow and with an inurnment at a later date. Vigil prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home on Sunday at 3:30pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
