Obituary of James Dale Sargent

SARGENT, James Dale In his 72nd year, Jim passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Hodge) and dear father of Stuart (Julie) and Jennifer (Derek) Young. Much loved Grampie of Stuart's daughters Samantha, Kathleen and Alyssa, and Jennifer's children Kimber and Zachary. He will miss fishing with his brothers Clayton (Mary) and Stanley (Barbara) and card playing with his brothers in law Charlie (Lucille) Hodge and Stephen (Valerie) Hodge. He will also be greatly missed by his uncle Gerald (Marie Berthe) Skerry, his aunts Joyce Mastine and Doris Stevens, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Jim loved playing cards, fishing and spending time with his family enjoying a special meal. He loved being with people. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Jim's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Saturday, March 28th from 7-9pm and Sunday, March 29th from 10:30am-12:15pm. A Memorial Service will follow in the chapel at 12:30pm. There will be a private family inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
