Obituary of Stephen "Chip" Soyka

SOYKA, Stephen (Chip) - Passed away on Monday, March 30th, 2015 at Tufford Nursing Home at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Isabelle for 67 years. Cherished father of Sandy (Mark) Charlton and Steve Soyka. Loving Grandpa of Stephanie (B.J.) Farr, Scott (Jasmine) Charlton and T.J. Charlton (Jem Mazzer). Brother in law of Gladys Battle, Rosalie Soyka and Emily Soyka. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Chip was a successful businessman who loved socializing, story telling and dancing. He will always be remembered for his love of golf and his enjoyment of the many golf courses in Niagara and other courses he played throughout his travels. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St.Catharines on Monday, April 6th from 7-9p.m. A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, April 7th at 11a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorial donations to Walker Family Cancer Centre or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
