Obituary of Joyce Marlene Slack

SLACK, Joyce Marlene (nee Walters) Peacefully with the love and support of her family, Joyce passed away at Heidehof Home for the Aged on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the age of 79. Loving wife of almost 60 years to the late Walter Slack (December 24, 2014). Much loved and cherished mother of Mark (Jolene) and Jennifer (Robert) Hildebrandt. Proud grandma of Michael. Dear sister of Margie (Ralph) Wesley, Sharon Walters, Barb (Peter) Boughner and George (Ruth) Walters. Sister-in-law of Pearl (the late William) Slack and Ruth (the late Clifford) Slack. Predeceased by her parents Earl and Fern Walters. Joyce will be fondly missed by her nieces, nephews, and many friends. Joyce will be remembered as a great wife, a caring mom, and for always putting others before herself. She will be sadly missed. A very special thank you to Anna and her home support staff at Heidehof for their care and compassionate support. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. A Celebration of Joyce's life will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
