Obituary of Christiaan Wever

WEVER, Christiaan "Chris" 1933-2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chris Wever on April 11, 2015 after his struggle with Alzheimers and lung cancer at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Mia, daughters Diane (Bill) Sloper and Kim (Jim) Chagnon and grandchildren Matt, Warren, Brent, Laura and Owen. Predeceased by his son Neil (1985). Chris will be missed by his many family and friends, in Canada, United States and Holland. A special thank you to Tom Millar, his respite companion and very good friend. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, April 15th from 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Warehouse of Hope would be appreciated by the family.
