Obituary of Raymond "Gumby" Van Buren
VAN BUREN, Raymond "Gumby"
Peacefully in his home, Ray passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the age of 54. He will be dearly missed by his sisters Rosemarie Ciantar, Carol Foley, Sharon Anthony and by all of his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Bill Van Buren also by his brother-in-law Ronald Ciantar. Raymond will be remembered for his love of Karaoke, fishing and spending time with his friends and family. Ray was a very generous and loving person who was always willing to help out his friends and family. A special thank you to the nurses and PSW's through ParaMed for their support and compassionate care that was given to Raymond. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. A celebration of Ray's life will be held in the funeral home chapel immediately after the visitation at 3 p.m. Cremation to follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
