Obituary of Marie "Doreen" Marguerite Innamorati

INNAMORATI, Marguerite "Doreen" (nee Guay) - In the arms of her beloved husband, Doreen Innamorati, 79, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015 after an abrupt battle with cancer. Doreen was happiest when surrounded by family, making food and telling stories. She loved to travel, made the world's best lasagne and was the heart of her family. Her incredible generosity, wealth of selflessness and indelicate humour will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Beloved wife of 59 years to Orazio; loving mother of Anna Marie Kawula, Mark (Teresa), Paul (Darleen) and Daniel (Sarah); doting grandmother to Stephen, Sean, Jennine (Greg), Dylan, Ryan, Selena, and Elodie; dear sister to Sylvia, the late John, the late Norman, Dorothy, Donaldson, Denis, James, Peter, Richard, Geri, Mark and Brenda. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Monday, April 20th (today), from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place on Monday at 8p.m. in the funeral home. Her wonderful spirit, sense of humour and joy will be celebrated with a funeral mass on Tuesday, April 21st at 10a.m. at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street, St. Catharines. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (St. Alfred's Church) or the Warehouse of Hope, where she and her husband volunteered, would be appreciated.
