Obituary of Theresa Elizabeth Schreiner

SCHREINER, Theresa Elizabeth (nee Albers) Passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Sunday, May 17th, 2015 in her 91st year. Predeceased by her loving husband Frank in 2009. She will be sadly missed by her three children, Bryan (Mai) of Saskatoon SK, Brenda Moriarty (Jim) of Burlington ON, and Barbara Howard (Joe) of St. Catharines ON. Grandmother to Mark Schreiner (Mariann) of Suva, Fiji, Kristin Schreiner (David Correa) of Stuttgart, Germany, Ian Moriarty (Adrienne) of Burlington ON, Amy Horton (Jeff) of Oakville ON and Brianna Dingman (Aaron) of St. Catharines. Great-grandmother to Leah and Ryan Moriarty, Hunter and Jaxon Dingman and Avery Horton. Also survived by her sister Florence Schreiner and brother Clifford Albers (Bernie), both of Humboldt SK, sister Jean Schreiner of Comox BC, and many nieces and nephews. Theresa and Frank came to St. Catharines from Saskatchewan in 1947 and enjoyed the company of many friends for more than 60 years. After Frank's retirement in 1982, they both relished travelling extensively across North America and Europe. Theresa delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and Frank became the first residents to move into Heatherwood Retirement Residence, where she spent 6 happy years enjoying an active lifestyle and making new friends. Later she was a resident of St. Catharines Place, and the family wishes to extend thanks to the staff for the care and compassion she received during her time there. In keeping with her wishes, there will not be a visitation. Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass honouring her life will be held on Monday, May 25 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, 316 Queenston St. in St Catharines. Reception to follow in the Church hall.
