Obituary of Ron Brenneman
BRENNEMAN, Ronald Lesley
The world has lost another angel. Ron passed away peacefully June 5, 2015 at Hotel Dieu Shaver with family by his side. Ron was predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Elsie Brenneman, sister Linda and his brothers Don and Rick. Ron is survived by his loving wife, soul mate, and best friend, Carol of 55 years. He will also be missed by his son Jim, sister-in-law Becky Whitworth, brother-in-law Gerry Whitworth. Ron is also survived by his sisters, Marg, June, Carole, Sandy, Susan, Debbie, Wendy and brother Tom. Ron will be missed by his nieces Taylor and Abby Whitworth and many other nieces and nephews. Ron worked for Dominion Stores for 30+ years, and then ran his own carpet cleaning business until his retirement. Ron was an avid member of various service organizations. The Thorold Jaycees, St. Davids Lions, Port Dalhousie Lions and most recently Grantham Lions. His community service totalled more than 45 years.The family would like to thank the nurses and support staff at the Hotel Dieu Shaver for their care and compassion. They would also like to thank all the family members for their love and support. In accordance with Ron's wishes cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service, to celebrate Ron's life, will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer's Society, Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
