Obituary of Major Althea Gladys Boone

BOONE, Major Althea "Gladys" On Sunday, June 28, 2015 in her 85th year, Gladys passed away peacefully at Chartwell Niagara, Niagara on the Lake. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her especially her family. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Bill, after 53 years of marriage. Loving mother of Christine (Paul) Wood of Kingston, and David (Sandra) Boone of St. Catharines. Proud grandmother of Ian, Stephanie, Matthew and David. Dear sister of Mabel and Daisy. She was predeceased by nine siblings. Gladys is now safe in the arms of her Lord and Saviour whom she served for many years. Major Boone's arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 400 Niagara St., St. Catharines. Funeral Service will be held at the Salvation Army on Thursday, July 2nd at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Salvation Army St. Catharines Corps. Special thanks to the 2nd floor staff of Chartwell Niagara.
