Obituary of Horst Persihl

PERSIHL, Horst Passed away peacefully with his family by his side in Kemptville, Ontario on July 1st at the age of 78. He will be loved and forever missed by his sister Edith, partner Trudy Cornelsen, and daughters Theresa & Corinna (Dana Morris) Persihl. Cherished Opa to Cheyenne, Cooper, Iris, Erik, Cameron, and Erin. He will be greatly missed by numerous family and friends across Canada and Europe. Horst was born in Hamburg, Germany on October 17th, 1936, and immigrated to Canada in 1955. Soon after, he began his career in heavy construction working with major companies and was sought out for his level of expertise. Mr. Persihl's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, July 8th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A service to celebrate his life will take place in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, July 9th at 11:30am. Cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Brian Hough Cancer Unit at the Winchester Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
