Obituary of Mary Joan Hornick

HORNICK, Mary (nee Lipovsky) - Passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16th, 2015 at Henley House at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Cherished mother of the late Shelley (Dave) Brookson and Jeff Hornick. Loving Nana of Kayley, Meghan and Ashlyn. Special sister of Margaret Perks, Ann (Eduord) Briand and Bob (Donna) Lipovsky. Mary is predeceased by her sister Josephine Lipovsky, her brother John (Heidi) Lipovsky and her niece Brenda Perks. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and friends. Mary will always be remembered as a very caring and loving woman with a keen sense of humor. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Henley House for all their care and compassion.Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Saturday, July 25th from 10a.m.-11a.m. A Celebration of Mary's Life will follow at 11:30a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
